 The Bubsy Cup

Points are accumulated throughout the season with the points leaders being awarded cold hard cash at the end of the year and the top point winner being crowned the Bubsy Cup Champion.

The prize money breakdown is as follows:

Champion – $1,800

2nd Place – $1,000

3rd Place – $600

4th Place – $400

5th Place – $200

The points system for the season works like this. Points can be accumulated at any BGC tournament other than the Ryder Cup. Points are awarded to all players in the tournament up to forty.

Only a player’s top five tournaments are used to determine their total points for the season.

The available points are based on each tournament’s designation.

1. The Players, The Heritage, Navy Grog, Ojai Open, Memorial, and Tri Cities Challenge: the total available points are 1000.

2. The Friday Night Lights: the total available points are 500.

3. The Travel Tournament: the total available points are 1200.

3. For the Club Championships: the total available points are 2000.

4. For the Holiday Classic: the total available points are 2500.

5. For the Match Play Championships: the total available points are 1360.

Match Play points are only given to place 1-16.

Tie Breaker Rules

If two or more players tie, each player is awarded the sum of the points for those places divided by the number of players. For example, if four players tie for second place. Each players gets the sum of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place money divided by four.

In the event of a tie at the end of the season the prize money will also be allocated in the same method as described above for allocating points, with the exception of a first place tie. If two players are tied for first, the winner will be determined by an 18 hole match play. If three or more players are tied, the winner will be determined by an 18 hole stroke play competition.
